Middleboro Deer Hunting Guides

Five 2026 notes for deer seasons around Middleboro and Middleborough. Read them once the tag is on and the report is filed, then use the referral line. Middleboro Prime hands the call to a trusted area processor. Pricing comes from a trusted area processor. Whether that processor joins Hunters Share the Harvest is unknown.

Primitive season meat care

December 14 to December 31, closed Sundays, and why a clean field dress still comes before the referral call.

Partial venison donations

The program's pound tiers, the rule that some processors decline them, and why this line sets no price.

Rocky Gutter cooler plan

A cooler and ice for the ride toward a trusted area processor on the South Coast, with no city named.

Middleboro Prime does not cut the deer

The number printed here, (508) 923-7005, is intake for Middleborough, Lakeville, Rochester, Carver, Plympton, Halifax, and Wareham. Telnyx sends it to hub (508) 738-3388. Jane answers, takes your details, and connects you directly with a trusted partner processor in the area. Reach that shop through Jane.

What the five Middleborough notes are for

Each guide answers one job that comes up after a deer falls in Wildlife Management Zone 11. The town centers of Middleborough, Lakeville, Rochester, Carver, Plympton, and Halifax, checked on MassGIS, sit in that zone. The guides do not replace the season summary, the check-station map, or the Hunters Share the Harvest map. They tell you what to finish before you ask this referral line for a trusted area processor.

Middleboro Prime publishes no street and no rate. Capacity, business hours, cut lists, sausage, jerky, skinning only, quarters, capes, and other animals stay unconfirmed until the processor says otherwise. Taxidermy is separate. Read the note that matches the problem in front of you, then call with a field-dressed, reported deer.

The 2026 dates under these notes

Youth dates are October 2 and 3. Archery runs from October 5 until November 28. Inside that window, paraplegic dates are October 29, 30, and 31. Shotgun then opens on November 30 and closes December 12. Week one, November 30 to December 5, is an in-person check station. The second shotgun week, December 7 to December 12, is online. Primitive firearms run December 14 to December 31. Every Sunday is closed.

The MassFishHunt guide walks through the 48-hour report at a high level. Log in, open the harvest report on the customer dashboard, submit the harvest report, and mark the tag with the confirmation number. The official page is the checklist. The primitive-season guide is about meat care after December 14, when the weather is late and cold and the field dress still has to be clean.

Cold meat, a partial gift, and the cooler

The temperature guide states the inclusion rule for Hunters Share the Harvest. The deer is recovered and field dressed within 4 hours after the shot unless the ambient air temperature stays below 37F. Hunters who are keeping the meat can use the same standard. A qualifying whole donation has no processing fee, and a replacement antlerless permit including Zone 11 is described as two to four weeks. Partner participation is unknown.

Partial donations are a different guide. Some processors may choose not to allow them. The pound tiers in that guide are MassWildlife's description. They are not prices from this line. The deer has to be processed entirely at an approved processor. This hub does not repeat the dollar figures.

The Rocky Gutter guide is a cooler and ice plan for a deer recovered at Rocky Gutter Wildlife Management Area on the south side of Middleborough. The ride it describes goes toward a trusted area processor on the South Coast. The note gives no travel time. It also invents no parking count. Carver hunters using Myles Standish State Forest should check forest rules before the hunt. Halifax hunters can use the Monponsett ponds as a landmark, and Lakeville hunters can use the Assawompset Pond shore. The Nemasket River does the same job inside Middleborough. Landmarks are not a substitute for the report.
