Does Middleboro Prime process deer?
Middleboro Prime refers hunters from Middleborough, Lakeville, Rochester, Carver, Plympton, and Halifax. A trusted area processor does the cutting. You hear the price from that shop. The website names no street and prints no rate. Town centers checked on MassGIS fall in Wildlife Management Zone 11.
Where does the processing price come from?
A trusted area processor names the price on the call. These pages carry no rate sheet and no package. Ask what your plan will cost, and ask a second time if the plan changes. Any donation discount is a MassWildlife rule at an approved processor. Middleboro Prime does not publish that figure as its own price.
Is a street or a drop-off time listed?
These pages leave out every street and every drop-off time. A trusted area processor tells you where to go during the call. Business hours and capacity are unconfirmed. Hold the deer near Assawompset Pond, the Monponsett ponds, or Rocky Gutter until that conversation happens.
What changes on November 30?
November 30 to December 5, 2026, is when each deer has to be checked in person at a station before any processor visit. No station street appears on this page. Consult the state check-station map. December 6 is Sunday and closed. December 7 to December 12 goes back to reporting online.
How should a Middleboro deer be reported?
File the report within 48 hours on MassFishHunt, except when the first shotgun week sends you to a check station. Log in, open the harvest report on the customer dashboard, and submit the harvest report. Put the confirmation number on the tag. The official page is the checklist. Stop at field dressing until the report exists.
Can a whole deer be donated from this line?
Start with the official Hunters Share the Harvest map. Nothing on this site enrolls a trusted area processor. A qualifying whole donation carries no processing fee. A replacement antlerless permit, Zone 11 included, is described as taking two to four weeks. Recover and field dress the deer within 4 hours unless the air stays under 37F.
Do partial donations work through Middleboro Prime?
Some processors may choose not to allow partial donations. This line does not say the partner allows them. The deer must be processed entirely at an approved processor, and each processor sets their own processing cost. Pound tiers live in the partial-donation guide. They are MassWildlife figures, not prices from this phone line.
When is hunting closed in 2026?
Sundays stay closed through archery, shotgun, and primitive season. Archery runs October 5 to November 28. Shotgun runs November 30 to December 12. Primitive season runs December 14 to December 31. Youth dates are October 2 and 3. Paraplegic dates are October 29, 30, and 31. A cold December day still needs a clean field dress.
May I bring quarters, ask for sausage, or bring other game?
Quarters, a written cut list, sausage, jerky, skinning only, a cape, and any animal besides deer are unconfirmed. A taxidermist is a different shop. Ask before you quarter a deer so it fits a cooler, and ask before any animal other than a reported deer is part of the trip. Capacity is unconfirmed.
What care standard applies around Middleborough?
Recover the deer and field dress it within 4 hours after the shot unless ambient air stays below 37F. Hunters Share the Harvest uses that standard for inclusion, and the same window is sound care when you keep the meat. Keep gloves on, and keep the blade away from the brain, the spine, and lymph nodes. Deer-derived scents are banned. Chronic wasting disease has not been detected in Massachusetts.
